Description

Differential Pressure Transmitter DPT1500

Differential Pressure Transmitter DPT1500

A Wellkonix Differential Pressure Transmitter for shorts a kind of electrical device used to monitor the difference in pressure between two sites in a fluid system in industrial and process control applications. In essence, it measures the difference in pressure between two points in a process and outputs an electrical signal. Two pressure sensing devices (such as diaphragms or Bourdon tubes) are usually included in DP transmitters. These elements are exposed to the process fluid at the two separate locations where the pressure is to be monitored. Measurement of Pressure Difference: The two sensing components experience varying pressures from the fluid as it passes through the system. The pressure differential between these two places is measured by the DP transmitter. Transducer and Electrical Output: Next, a transducer (often a strain gauge) within the DP transmitter transforms the pressure differential into an electrical signal. The pressure differential is proportional to this electrical signal. Signal Transmission: Next, a control system, data collecting system, or further monitoring devices receive the electrical signal. The information about pressure can be sent via digital protocols like Foundation Fieldbus or HART, or analog signals like 4-20 mA. A Differential Pressure Transmitter is a device used to measure the difference in pressure between two points in a system. It is commonly used in various industrial applications, such as monitoring and controlling processes in chemical plants, oil refineries, power generation, and HVAC systems.
