Temperature transmitter FlexTop
RTD or T/ C signals are converted into analogue or digital transmission by Baumer temperature transmitters (HART). The range includes transmitters for in-head and rail installation.
Sensor components on the FlexTop that may be customised
RTD stands for “Resistance Temperature Detector,” which is a temperature-variable resistor. In addition to the standard platinum-based Pt100 and Pt1000 types, FlexTop may be configured with copper or nickel-based types.
Pt100: RTD with a resistance of 100 Ohm at 0 degrees Celsius constructed from a thin platinum layer (32 degrees Fahrenheit). The calibration curve and accuracy classes are defined by DIN/EN/IEC 60751, with the change in resistance being generally linear at 0.38 percent /K. FlexTop allows you to customise this and other calibration curves (by the a-value).
Pt1000: RTD equivalent with the same properties as Pt100.
