You can measure non-contact rpm with the testo 465 tachometer with just one hand. This makes the tachometer useful for measurements on spinning parts like fans and shafts, for example. Simply place a reflecting marker on the measuring item, direct the visible red beam towards the marker, and take the rpm measurement.
